Web Design and Beyond is owned by Mr R Khuti a sole trader helped by family. We started designing static web sites for friends with small businesses and also for charitable organisations wishing to increase their profile on the internet.

We soon found that designing a web site was one thing but marketing a site was quite another. In most of the search engines, when you type the business name it normally comes up within the first 3 pages, but, if you were to type in just a category i.e. Plumbers, the profile would appear on page 50 to 100 or sometimes not at all, as all of the big companies and search engines have taken over the first few pages.

In the old days when you put meta tags of description and key words this would get a site listed at the front pages, however, times have moved on and the big businesses spend thousands in marketing on the internet to get to the front pages. It’s estimated that over a billion people surf the internet a week and its bigger business then Radio or TV. The small to medium businesses owners are too busy running their businesses or don’t have the marketing budget to do this.

This is where we come in; we combine all the small to medium businesses and charge a small fee to each which is used for marketing purposes to target the right customers for them.

Our experience and expertise in this area has generated more then a million hits over a period of 2 years for the charitable organisations we designed for and maintain free of charge. This has increased their profile throughout the World and provided them with a large database.

People have moved on from using the yellow pages and phone directories as laptops and phones are capable of searching quicker. People nowadays are only interested in fast searches i.e., they want to know the business name, where they are located, contact details and maybe an email address.

7 out 10 will call; 3 out of 10 will email. Our research has also found that people are not prepared to fill in forms for contact, which are designed to stop junk mail.

But, out of a 100 junk emails, you might get 5 that are genuine and the delete buttons are pretty good nowadays to get rid of the rest. OR, we can provide a service where the emails come through our servers and we can weed out the junk mail and send you the genuine enquiries only.
